Hi, I'm David. I live to help people with the courage to admit they are struggling, and who have the guts to seek support to change their life for the better.

Professional. Ethical. Life Experienced. Supportive.
My approach
Changing your life can be challenging, however it can be immensely rewarding. It can allow you to live life in ways you've never done or never even thought about before.

I'm here to support you to better understand, process and adapt to your situation - to feel less distressed, more alive, capable and fulfilled as a person. I really want to help you thrive in life, and my job is to empower you to do that.

I take a holistic, trauma-informed and attachment-focused approach to health and well-being. I offer evidence-based therapeutic modalities, because there is no “one-way” of counselling or psychotherapy. It's my mission to help you feel genuine improvement, and for you to move forward in your life - I DO NOT want you to become psychologically dependent, booking more and more appointments!

My professional credentials

I hold a Master's degree in Counselling, and am a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA, Level 2), committed to the ethical standards and practices of the profession, including undertaking professional supervision and continuing professional development.
I work with a number of well-known organisations, supporting clients with issues that originate in historic trauma and relationship distress. Previously, I was a Crisis Supporter with Lifeline (13 11 14), in both voluntary and paid night-shifts. I'm also an accredited life coach (ICC), able to support people towards personal wellness and balance in their lives.
My personal background

I work on maintaining my health through cycling, walking, yoga, mindfulness, breathwork and resting on my shakti mat. Over many years, I've read widely on sociology, psychology, counselling and psychotherapy, personal and spiritual growth and development.
I'm a middle-aged son, brother, long-married husband and father of teenage sons, who tree-changed to regional NSW several years ago. I've experienced many of the ups and downs life has to offer, which informs my compassionate, empathic understanding of my clients.
I also hold a Bachelors Degree in Economics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology. My career has included sales and distribution, marketing communications, social research & insights in commercial and not-for-profit sectors.
